Sidni Shorter is currently the Director of the Utah MBDA and also serves as the CEO of the Utah Black Chamber. Before moving to Utah, Shorter acquired and ran the finance and accounting firm Execute Now! in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She successfully grew the firm and developed the Wealth Esteem Fund designed to invest in minority-owned businesses. She also held executive director and director roles at Louisiana Heath and Rehabilitation Center and at Louisiana Housing Alliance. At Nerjyzed Entertainment, she helped establish the first and only woman-led African-American-owned video game studio producing Xbox 360 content.

Mario Corrales is the MBDA Business Coordinator and has 15+ years of sales, marketing, and management experience throughout Utah. As a graduate of Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah, Mario’s local ties offer significant insight into the unique landscape of the region. Mario genuinely understands the concept of next-level success, as he has personally worked for and helped grow minority-owned companies locally. Equipped with a vast amount of resources and a firm goal aimed at creating a pathway to business development services, Mario is passionate about helping minority-owned businesses flourish throughout the region, and beyond.
