We support mid-sized minority-owned businesses with $500,000 or more in annual revenue that are pursuing growth throughout Utah and across the United States. Companies that are 51% owned or controlled by minorities (as defined by the U.S. Department of Commerce- African-American, Hispanic-American, American Asian and Pacific Islander, Native American (including Alaska Natives, Alaska Native Corporations and Tribal entities), Asian Indian American, and Hasidic Jewish American are eligible to receive technical business assistance services from the Utah MBDA Business Center. The Center will maximize its impact by focusing on high-growth sectors in which Utah excels: energy, defense, life sciences, information technology, aerospace, transportation, manufacturing and distribution.
MBDA connects MBEs to private lenders, including banks, mutual funds, and investors.
MBDA assists MBEs with securing local, county, state, federal or commercial contracts and procurement opportunities to accelerate growth and revenue.
MBDA positions MBEs to perform in high-growth industries, emerging markets and global supply chains along with providing assistance in becoming export ready.
